Midtown and parts of Virginia H are more established. Virginia H is also a family-oriented ( in a way) then the other 2. Little 5 will be the cheapest rent/purchse wise and you hardly find kid there. Your friend will be better of going by the proximity to the office. Traffic in Atl gets worse every day.

I would not suggest anything near that ZIP code. It's not a safe area. Depending on your budget and living preference, Atlantic Station or other areas in Midtown might work for you. They're not too far, but I would not recommend the area if you have kids. They're not the safest in Atlanta.
