I could not agree more, I almost made this exact statement in one of my other posts. Where we differ, is that I do not have any reason to believe (by looking at history) that these clans can be made anything but more powerful if we continue on the current track.
I would be more interested in being harsher with countries like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, than with Europe. Right now, it is the other way around. So our enemies pretend to like us, and our allies pretend to hate us. And we believe them all.
