Leah,  in the past, when a woman was flirting with me but I wasn't entirely sure she was flirting with me, I didn't respond to her flirting in fear that she actually WASN;T flirting with me and I would be too forward to mention it or just plain old get rejected, which was my worst fear.   For those of you who could follow this sentence, you get an A in english.Stick out tongue

Now,   hell yes...   I wish a woman would just plainly say what is on her mind so I could quit guessing all the time.   Things would go a lot smoother.   IMHO

It's not that I don't wish that a woman revealed her thoughts, but in the very beginning her doing so kills something instantly. Something wonderful disappears and leaves a feeling of disappointment. I don't think I had that feeling 10 years ago.

Hmmm...  I guess that means I have made a mistake by being direct.

Damn Russians, you never know what to do with them.

If the man in question was someone from the forum, do you really think I'd discuss it on the forum?

    Well, that is good quality.

It is actually in the top ten of my recently revised wish list/list of requirements:

      6.  Someone who will not betray your secrets, not the things you confided and not the things you did.

I'll post part of the list.

    1.  Smart

    2.  Kind

    3.  Good sense of humor, quick wit

    4.  Someone who accepts me for who I am... flaws, baggage, occasional emotional incomprehensibility and all.

    5.  Someone who enjoys conversation with me.

    6.  Someone who will not betray my secrets, not the things I confided and not the things I did.

    and so on...

Did you put it in the order of importance to you?

Re: flirting... how bold is too bold?

1-6 are probably all of equal importance.

    Clarification-

Kind does involve being kind to my pets

Kind does not mean that overly sugary niceness.  I rather like an edge.

High standards can be very rewarding, yet equally disappointing.
