    Children Garden/School selection

Hi all, I am going to move to Atlanta from Minsk in a month or two. I have 5.5 y.o. son and I need to find children garden and later school for him? Any ideas where to start investigations? How much it may cost? Also I appreciate any information about Atlanta/county area & apartments where he will be able to contact both English and Russian speaking children to learn English in more comfortable conditions.

I saw good reviews about Alfaretta & Marietta on this site. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Alexey,

You probably need to locate close to your work. Traffic can be very heavy in Atlanta. If you are interested in schools in Dekalb, Decatur, or Emory area, please let me know. Private schools will be $800+ depending on hours and type of school. You need to locate in the area of a public school to attend it. Fernbank elementary is the best public school I know.

We live in Avondale Estates/Dekalb. It's close to Emory University (toward east) where we work. Our 6-year old understands Russian but doesn't practice speaking it. It would be great if he could have a playmate of his age who wants to learn English.

    Best wishes,

    Maria
