Actually, I think this list is beyond cruel, not to mention completely subjective.

1.  Sarah Jessica Parker-  As far as I can tell, her only crime is having a successful career without resorting to tons of plastic surgery to make her look just like another random McStarlet.

2.  Amy Winehouse-  More understandable if they are considering behavior, but again I suspect not conforming is the problem they have with her.

3.  Sandra Oh- I don't really know who this is, but after googling a few pictures, I'm pretty sure my upstairs neighbor has her beat in the unsexy category.

4.  Madonna-  Most of the critcism I see of Madonna is that she (gasp) is getting older and still dares to perform and consider herself a sexual being.  I guess Maxim thinks women should go into seclusion once they reach a certain age.

5.  Britney Spears-  Ok, again, if you are talking about behavior that is one thing, but not being as thin as she was before birthing two children seems to offend people more than the nutty behavior.  Talk about kicking someone when they are down....

Not that they are my friends and I should care, but ... this is so unmanly of men to point out flaws in women and call them "unsexiest women alive." It's a woman's job to look at these flaws to make us, who are also flawed, feel better! Why the hell these men would do it? Because they know that in a million years these five girls (not sure about Britney given her state of mind, if there is any mind there...) would not give them a time of the day. Sarah J. Parker has a fantastic figure, great hair, beautiful breasts, warm, sexy smile ... I, as a woman, see those things; how can men be so blind not to see them?! I'd love to see their girlfriends who are Sarah's age, and what they look like, if they even have girlfriends. A man, if he considers himself a man, would never point at a woman's flaws, but enhance her beauty by complimenting her great attributes, which all of these women possess.

Several years ago, as I was riding on a subway, I was looking at women who were sitting and standing nearby. I was wearing dark sunglasses, so my stares were subtle, if noticiable at all. Every woman had something beautiful about her: the shape of her face, the dark long lashes, the shape of her eyes or eyebrows, the chin, her hands, chest, butt, legs, feet ... A man is a fool if he cannot admire the beautiful features of his woman, and wishes for a famous movie star or model instead. Guess what? They also have flaws, only movie stars and models have more money to hide them.

It's just kind of rare to hear straight woman expressing her admiration about other  straight woman.

I am not sure I see the problem here. Why is it women always have to be sexy? Is this the most important aspect? If yes then women should probably stop talking about their intellect and anything else besides finding the most successfull mate. I admire many women who are not sexy for me and they don't have to be. In fact I find only handful of women sexy. So what?

I actualy agree with #1 on the list, she's just plain ugly and her legs are more bended then those of legendary Budennyi   IMHO, of course.

I agree... all of these women are very successful in life.  Their "unsexiness" didn't hold them back.  Kudos to them.

Well, if you want to psychoanalyze the adjective "sexy," then you may notice that it derives from the noun "sex." Hence, if someone is sexy, it means that they are sexually appealing. Saying that Sarah J. Parker is "unsexiest woman alive" sounds as if she is the last woman on earth that a man is sexually attracted to. I have no problem with those who consider her to be "unsexy," but "unsexiest woman alive"?! Give me a break.

Strangely enough, in today's world many men find women who are successfuly very sexy! Fame, money, class - those are the attributes that not too many women possess, and Sarah is one of the few in the world. So, before stating that someone is "unsexiest woman alive," men should give a solid definition of what they consider sexy first.
