    Valentine's Day in Russia?

    Wow... even Valentine's Day is celebrated there now... Where do the western influences stop? :)

    OH COME ON :)  Who remembers Clara Zetkin?  Besides, I think people rather celebrate women than the Red Army :)

    I didn't know, but it turns out March 8 was designated an International Woman's day by the UN ... I wonder why no other country celebrates it.

    its because we already have mothers day AND valentines day.  More presents only makes for cheaper ones Big Smile

    It is truly international and many countries celebrate it. Like Mongolia, China and even North Korea! Smile

    As for US this special day is in conflict with emancipation movement. Za chto borolis', kak govoritsya... Wink

    that's not true, valentines can cover crushes, secret admirers, stalkers, etc, just like March 8!  Especially if you are in first grade. Now we just get sued regardless, right KGBman? Big Smile
