Anybody that is a futures or commodities trader, and is making more money than they should...well, they are not gonna tell the rest of us about it.  It will stay a dirty secret.

Just like how the oil companies are making many billions of dollars in profits.  You gotta wonder...what's the real story.

If we all find out that another 1,000 billionaires have been made this year by clever speculators and traders and oil exec's that 'tricked' the average guy into paying 2X what we should have (as the Saudi's are saying)....then I say it's time for an 'oil revolution' - let the guillotine fall on the cake-eating aristocrats.

Let's be honest, there's plenty of oil around and technology to obtain it. We don't stay in line to get gas, do we?

Somehow I think it will be all over when the election is over (unless McCain won).

I tell you guys, I was never in favor of conspiracy theories but something tells me that I am wrong.

If I had to guess about the way out, it would be nuclear power plants and electric transportation.  But it could be many other things.. that one just seems furthest along - research-wise, the science part is 90% done.  And it kills 2 birds - 2 biggest uses of oil in the US are transportation and power generation, in that order, together accounting for over 3/4 of oil use, and 100% of imports.

It is just stupid to use oil to make electricity. US is the only industrial power who does that ..... stupidity at it's finest.

Investment into nuclear power not only provides cheap electricity and saves oil, it is the only way we are ever going to reach Stars ! And that is the only real goal our civilization has left !
